Rates
At 70 West Counseling, we believe a person’s socioeconomic status should never interfere with your ability to obtain effective counseling for individuals, children, and families. Therefore, we offer a sliding scale for those who would otherwise be unable to afford counseling.
Fees range from $20.00-$150.00 per fifty (50) minute session and are based on total household income and the counselor’s credentials.
Master-level Interns - $20.00-$60.00 per session.
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) $60.00 - $130.00 per session.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) $130.00 - $150.00 per session.
Too often, people don’t seek out a counselor out of fear that it will cost too much, or they believe they’ll never find someone with the experience to help them through whatever they’re going through. At 70 West Counseling, we feel the fee should be the least of your concerns.
Insurance and Fees
We accept the following insurance plans:
Aetna
Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna
Accepted Insurance plans vary by clinician, so don't hesitate to get in touch with us to determine which clinicians accept your specific plan.
In-network insurance plans are billed at our standard service rate, and you are responsible for paying the amount not covered by your plan, or what is commonly termed the “co-pay.” Please remember that some plans require your deductible to be met before your insurance plan can reimburse our services. If so, your fee will be based on the “contracted rate” with your specific insurance plan. We will assist you with understanding your fees based on your insurance plan.
We can provide you with a superbill/receipt if you want to seek reimbursement for out-of-network services with other insurance carriers. Fees are due at the time of service and will be charged to the card on file in your electronic medical record.
If you do not have insurance and cannot afford services, we have a sliding fee scale based on annual income. Please contact our office at (720) 898-3208 or complete our Contact Form if you have questions about our accepted insurance plans and fees.
Kaiser (Out-of-Network)

Good Faith Estimate
Know what you’re expected to pay.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, healthcare providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total anticipated cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Please contact our office at (720) 898-3208 or complete our Contact Form if you’d like to request a Good Faith Estimate.
