Healing Through Compassion and Understanding
I approach each individual with genuine compassion and a heartfelt desire to understand their unique experiences. To truly grasp someone’s beliefs and struggles, it is vital to first listen to and appreciate their life story.
My Background
I am a graduate student at Colorado Christian University, where I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My undergraduate studies in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB), along with my focus on cancer biology, immunology, anatomy, and physiology, have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the human experience. This knowledge enables me to embrace a whole-person approach, recognizing the profound connection between neuroscience, emotion, and behavior. I am committed to supporting individuals on their journeys toward healing and personal growth.
My Approach & Philosophy
I have the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, including those who have faced trauma and those grappling with loss, grief, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more. My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding with a trauma-informed focus, which shifts the therapeutic lens from “what is wrong with you” to “what happened to you.”
I believe in a whole-person holistic approach that acknowledges every part of who you are. I draw on various therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Narrative therapies, while also considering how our brains process emotions. Additionally, I use techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) along with mindfulness and grounding practices to help you feel more at ease and present in your life. Together, we can navigate your journey toward healing and recovery.
